JOA has developed this Life skills programme for students who seek to build their ability to make decisions that positively impact their lives and the lives of the people around them, be it their family or the community they live in. This course has been specifically designed to cater for the average South African teenager with regards to the societal inadequacy that they may deal with and to teach them the necessary life skills needed to live a fulfilled life. Life can expose youth to a toxic mix of violence, poverty, and idleness (especially during the pandemic). Therefore, without solutions, youth are at risk of embracing ideologies and continuing the cycle of societal inadequacy. It is, thus, important to provide the youth with sufficient support and resources so that they become active participants and leaders in this world.
